A few years removed from the 2006-07 Cup set that got me hooked on the idea of Stanley Cup themed sets, this was definitely a favorite that truly reignited that focus. It helps that I loved the Limited product that Panini put out, I thought many of the inserts were great and the quality of hits was solid for the price, it of course suffered from the "no brand history/not UD" stigma, but I was more than happy to pick this stuff up, I just wish I'd had more disposable income back then, I'd have been opening by the case. While I focussed on the autos, as usual the high numbered were easy, then I ended up waiting for the Toews as a redemption for far too long (and although an SP out of 25 they never serial numbered it), that kind of killed my momentum and I took a long break, just recently picking up a couple in 2022 including the Crosby monster (wish I bought that earlier).
