While I was at the Sport Card Expo, I thought that I should add some pages to my site with recaps of my pickups from shows, and since the last Expo I went to I literally left my pickups in the same box for 4 months, I got straight to it this time.  I was a little shocked to see that I last updated this page 2 years ago.  I'm going to get more on that in the next couple of months.

Aside from the show pickups, I scanned a few other Sens cards that would show up on their respective pages, and I have been adding scans here and there even though I haven't created pages per se.

I've got some pics to update my last couple of shows, so I'll add those in the coming weeks, and get a better trend going before I head to FanExpo in August.  Given the heavy Sens and Non-sports pickups from Expo, my focus over the next little bit will be to clean up the Sens PC and start posting more of the Non-sport collection.

I just revisited this collection (Rookies of Edmonton Oilers Cup Winners) while organizing binders and scanning cards, so I put the page together having about 65% of the rookies, then 2 hours later I had all but 1 of the missing cards in my ComC account (so updates to come when I get my next shipment), where was that when I started?!  

I actually built a page with the player statistics about 12 years ago, and never posted it anywhere as I hadn't scanned the cards, so worked in a slight design update here.  Anyway, not yet sold on the layout of this, but in the spirit of getting something good enough done and moving on here it is for now. 

Haven't got the momentum yet to go back and get everything updated for past year's sets, but I thought before I bindered my initial case rip of the 2022 Juniors product, I'd get things scanned and a page up.  I'm not sold on this approach for showcasing the cards yet, but there's a lot and doing a page for each type of card also seems like overkill.  We'll see if I come up with something better when I get around to posting other years.  Drop me an e-mail if you have suggestions!

I've got to say that after the draft and free agency, I'm very excited to see what the new look Sens have to offer this year.  Given I needed a break from the heavy lifting that the Canada sets are bringing, and with most of the Sens stuff already organized/scanned I decided to use that new Sens energy and motivation to get this page up, and essentially done with all elements listed.  Now I'll have a good place to easily add new pieces as I'm sure to do with what I expect will be an exciting Sens season.

Well after getting the Canada page started, I decided to dig into one of the bigger sets.  One thing about me being a set collector is that I care about the base as much as the high end, and really like the parallels too.  I've scanned everything in this set treating them all equally.  Of course being disorganized and scanning some of this on release 10 years ago, and others a few weeks ago means I was digging through folders finding all of these images, cropping, naming, etc.  Plenty of work to go for the other sets like this.

So I rushed up 2 pages so that I could officially launch the Canada section on Canada Day, but today we added 9 more pages covering a bit more depth of the Canada PC.  Now I need to start getting the annual Junior sets organized, that will only bring a handful of pages, but a ton of cards!

OK, I'm adding this update note on the 2nd, but I did put up a couple of pages for the Canada collection on Canada Day.  Started with something of a random highlights page that I'll continue to add to, as well as one of my favorite running sets that was a little different - the Expo Priority Signings redemption cards.  I'll see if I can't get a few more Canada pages done over the next week while I'm in the Canada Day mood.

Good sign that I've at least come back for another round of updates and I'm even writing about it.  I thought I might end up focussing these updates on the Fett and Hawkeye collections as I was building some lists for a pop culture show.  In the end I only added a small bit to each of those pages, but did add 8 new sets/pages to the biggest area of the site the Miscellaneous Hockey page, as well as upgrading the scans for some of the existing cards.  Seems like that's where I've been focussing my collecting updates as of late.

As even my collecting logo would tell you, my key collections are Hawkeye, Boba Fett, Legacy Oilers, Ottawa Senators and Team Canada.  Yet even with that said, when I started fiddling with this page, I for some reason triggered it off organizing some of the "odds and ends" for my collection.

Just planned out some of the high level layouts and started building out the Miscellaneous cards portion of the site, lots of Stanley Cup related sets and then a myriad of other things.  Probably the section that will see the most ongoing additions, but after round 1 I expect I'll leave this page alone until the other main pages get some major updates and build outs.

That's of course assuming I even keep updating this space!
